Wroughton Parish Church stands at the top of a hill, where it may be seen from many parts of the village. While this allows it to be seen to advantage, especially when it is floodlit, it creates a problem for those who are infirm, as well as "such as are of riper years".
The needs of these worshippers, many of whom look back on a lifetime of faithful attendance at their Parish Church, are met by a dedicated group of people, whose contribution to the life of our Church includes offering their services as drivers for two of the three regular Sunday Services. At the moment there are twelve drivers and a coordinator, who also acts as a reserve driver. there are seven passengers, with places available for another passenger in the morning and one more in the evening. More drivers will always be welcomed!
p.s. we can't always promise that the Rolls Royce will be available!
